The German Chips Competence Centre participated in the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft Netzwert Symposium, where experts discussed how research, industry and policy can work more closely together in response to economic and geopolitical change.

A central topic was the role of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD) in connecting research excellence with industrial application, including through European initiatives such as the APECS pilot line. Discussions addressed how research, prototyping and industrial deployment can be better aligned to accelerate innovation for start-ups, SMEs and industry.

The symposium also highlighted the importance of coordinated national and European collaboration in emerging fields such as quantum technologies. For G3C, the exchange provided valuable perspectives for its mission of connecting innovators with suitable expertise, infrastructure and partners across the European semiconductor ecosystem.
